Doing it to Death

GBR 2016 4'
30.09 FR 20.30, 01.10 SA 15.00 @Katowice City of Gardens: room 211

PERFORMED BY: The Kills
DIRECTED BY: Wendy Morgan

Wendy Morgan – a specialist in creating music videos which combine humor, rhythm and choreography with very coherent stories – does it again in her video for The Kills, in which she confronts two absolute opposites. Her funeral procession is a unique one: the mourners carry the coffins with a dancing gait, while the particulars of the ceremony are more likely to incite laugh than contemplation. Morgan breaks social taboos by blending death with good fun. To her, one’s final passage doesn’t have to be that grim and serious.

Wendy Morgan

Director of music videos and commercials. She became famous in 2008 after her video for Gnarls Barkley’s “Going On”, for which she received acclaim in the industry and plenty of prestigious awards.
