Tobias Elijah Morgan is a British independent film director, founder of Cine Foundation International. The guest of honour at the first edition of Ars Independent Festival is back in Katowice again, planning to shoot his full-length film here.
IFF Ars Independent results announced!
The Jury of the main International Competition composed of: Francisco Javier Nunez Fernandez (Spain), Roland Gugganig (Austria), Anita Skwara (Poland) has decided to award the Silesian Film Award (20 000 PLN worth) to Sergio Caballero for „Finisterrae” (Spain, 2010).

Musical stage
The musical stage of the festival will be set in motion by Grabek. The rampant Indian artists from The Gandu Cirrcus will perform the soundtrack from their film and charismatic Barbara Morgenstern will present her “Only my pen tolerates my choices” project. Arkadiusz Jakubik and his Dr Misio are also going to express the musical side of their personality.
Ars Independent International Film Festival in Katowice
From June 14th till June 19th, Katowice will reign as the European Capital of Independent Cinema. The films brought straight from the most important European film festivals, plenty of premieres, concerts and meetings with the filmmakers from all over the world.

Six polish premieres in Main Competition!
Main Competition is a competition for film directorial debuts and second films. Six films with their Polish premiere during the IFF Ars Independent will be competing for the Silesian Film Award (PLN 20 000). The main competition will be finalized with a projection within the BigCin project.
