THE MOVIE BY THE CREATORS OF “ADOLESCENCE” AT THE ARS INDEPENDENT FESTIVAL 2025!

If you are currently raving about the bravura-like production of the shocking series about a 13-year-old accused of murder, you cannot miss this year's Ars culinary special event. As part of the Film and Dinner event at the Rialto Cinema in Katowice, we will be showing “Boiling Point” (2021) - a film by the creators of the record-breaking mini-series “Adolescence”.

It seems to be a bit of an arthouse tradition that as part of the Film and Dinner event, we transfer the emotions of the best series to the cinema screen. Last year, we showed “Menu” (2022) by the creators of the iconic “Succession”. This year, we have chosen “Boiling Point” (2021), whose creators - as it turns out - are now serving perhaps the best, and certainly one of the most watched and discussed streaming titles in recent years, the 4-episode “Adolescence”. In “Boiling Point” , we see Stephen Graham in the leading role as a chef on the verge of a nervous breakdown, trying to overcome mounting difficulties and prevent a culinary and image disaster. In “Adolescence”, he plays the role of the protagonist's father and is also the originator and co-writer of the series. Matthew Lewis is responsible for the cinematography (as well as for the series - both realized in the poetics of a one shot movie), and the music for both productions was composed by the duo Aaron May and David Ridley. The whole thing was brilliantly directed by Philip Barantini, who is none other than the director of the “Adolescence” series.

The rollercoaster of emotions on the screen will be complemented by a unique menu. This year, Dominika Jendrasik, an independent chef with passion and love for a creative approach to cooking, creator of the fifth.flavor culinary profile, will take care of the viewers' culinary experience. Her cuisine is characterized by seasonality and interesting flavor combinations from different cuisines of the world. She co-organizes culinary pop-ups and private events where we can gather around the table.
