LOVE IS IN THE... ARS. BUY A PASS FOR THE FESTIVAL

On Valentine's Friday, the first passes for this year's Ars Independent Festival went on sale. Traditionally, there are two options to choose from. For those who follow the principle “the earlier, the better” and take the festival program blindly, we have the Blind Horse pass. Spectators who have a special affection for the event, can choose the Black Horse option, which is a special Patronage Pass.

On February 14th, the first batch of passes for this year's Ars Independent Festival went on sale. The festival will take place from October 7th to 12th, 2025 in Katowice. From February 14th to June 10th, you will be able to purchase a Blind Horse Pass for 100 PLN (80 PLN with Katowicka Karta Mieszkańca). The basic pass includes: an ID card entitling the holder to participate in all screenings and festival events (except for the special event Film and Dinner). Once again, a special Black Horse Patron Pass will be available for all those who want to support the Festival. The price of the Black Horse pass is 240 PLN, and in addition to the satisfaction of being a Festival Patron, you will also receive a special gadget with the Festival logo and admission to the Film and Dinner Event. The number of passes is limited.

Passes can be purchased at the Kino Światowid box office, on the Festival website and on the Kino Światowid website.

Those who prefer to wait and see will have the opportunity to purchase passes at a later date: The Early Horse pass (120 PLN/96 PLN with Katowicka Karta Mieszkańca) will be available for purchase from June 11 until the day the full festival program is announced, and the Regular Horse pass (150 PLN/120 PLN with Katowicka Karta Mieszkańca) will be available from the day the festival program is announced until October 12.

Ars Independent Festival has existed since 2011, since 2024 it has been co-organized by the culture institution Katowice - City of Gardens and Silesia Film Institute in Katowice.

This year's Ars Independent Festival will take place from October 7-12. For film screenings and events, the organisers invite you to Katowice's cinemas: Kina Światowid and Kinoteatr Rialto, as well as to the venues: Piąty Dom, Drzwi Zwane Koniem and Underground. Four programme sections are planned as part of the festival: film, animation, video games and music videos. Also: special events and sections, concerts, meetings and discussions with filmmakers.
