Sign up to volunteer at the Ars Independent Festival.

If you’re interested in contemporary film, experimental animation, music videos, independent video games, and combining all of these in fresh, unconventional forms, we invite you to join our team to create something unique together. All you need is to be at least 18 years old and fill out a short application form by June 30.

This call for volunteers is aimed at people who would like to gain festival know-how in the area of festival promotion, for example:

# producing photo/video materials

# developing content to promote the festival

# research and media relations

# distributing festival communication materials

We provide:

# a contract, a volunteer certificate (it is also possible to obtain an internship certificate upon prior agreement)

# a pass for the entire festival

# valuable experience in the production of a multimedia, international festival

# lots and lots of fun and interesting connections ;)

By July 30, we will contact all applicants with the results of the preliminary selection and invite selected candidates to a meeting. The Uberwolo PROMO runs from August 15 (you can join later if your travel plans conflict) through October 11, 2026. For organizational matters, we will meet at the Festival Office in Katowice Miasto Ogrodów (pl. Sejmu Śląskiego 2, Katowice). Most of the assigned tasks can be performed remotely and on a flexible schedule.

The specific scope of duties, work schedule, and number of hours will be determined during a meeting with the organizers. 

In July, we’ll be opening applications for volunteer and internship positions in festival production and operations, so stay tuned!

This year’s edition of the Ars Independent Festival will take place October 2–11, 2026, at the Światowid and Rialto cinemas in Katowice, as well as at Piąty Dom and Drzwi Zwane Koniem. The event is organized by the cultural institution Katowice Miasto Ogrodów and the film institution Silesia Film.
